New England Blacks in Philanthropy is proud to host the 2008 New England Conference “Black Philanthropy – Building Stronger Communities.”
Sunday, June 22, 2008, 12:00 pm through Tuesday, June 24, 2008 at 3:00 pm
John Hancock Hall, 200 Berkeley Street, located in Boston’s historic Copley Square.
The purpose of this conference will be to examine, encourage and promote Black philanthropy as a means of economic empowerment and civic engagement.
Keynote speakers include Beverly Tatum, President of Spellman College.
Our conference will focus on issues of education, health, media and leadership. We also seek to encourage the participation of Black researchers and consultants in studying Black issues. The conference is to bring together foundation and corporate grant makers, philanthropists and Trustees and is open to all. We will also honor philanthropist Gail Snowden at a gala dinner discussing the legacy of Black philanthropy.
